Physical Appearance
As is the trend with CADMUS Clones, Terry bears a distinct resemblance to his genetic templates, in his case Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne. Standing at 6 feet two inches, Terry is quite thin, though he isn't entirely without muscle, as the genomorph has developed tone over his years of training and missions. He grows his hair out beyond the typically permitted length by CADMUS, often the locks managing to hang slightly over the pair of deep blue eyes. Beyond's face manages to be both narrow and strong at the same time, as it is highly apparent that any further growth on the clone's part will be filling out rather than gaining any additional height, as McGinnis has already managed to reach the full height of his "father".
In the Beyond suit, Terry appears to be much more muscular, and to some a bit taller, than the young man actually is, due in part to the design being intended to "project" the maximum potential for growth based on the Batman which CADMUS is familiar. So, the suit was built with a means of compensating the size difference without frequent replacement due to growth being necessary. But eventually Terry is estimated to eventually "grow into" his armor. The armor itself is inspired by the costume of Batman, with the helmet more or less being exactly the same as the Caped Crusader's cowl, with the primary difference being that rather than having the lower face open, there is only an interactive opening to simulate the lips of a mouth. The remainder of the suit is a collection of in-lain black plating, with gaps being made from soft kevlar, to cover the layer of impact gel that exists between the plates and the wearer. On his chest is a red symbol strongly resembling Batman's own insignia, though considerably larger and more sleek looking, as well as two blades situated on each forearm to be used as edged weapons.
When wearing non-CADMUS assigned clothing, Terry often will take whatever he can get his hands on, but has a strong affinity for colors which are similar to his suit.
Personality
The particular series of CADMUS Clone which Beyond is a part of are considerably more personable than the CADMUS Projects of past. It's largely thanks to the fact that the "New Wave" project required the clones to routinely train with one another, work together, and share proximity. Additionally, some of them have even developed "genetic personalities" which is something of a phenomenon which happens when a clone is not programmed to act any particular way, they instead will take on personality traits reminiscent of their "parent".
In the case of Terry, as his "siblings" named him, the young clone has developed something of a rebellious streak like his mother Selina Kyle, and even to a lesser degree, his father Bruce. This has made the clone both a hassle to handle, as Amanda Waller has discovered, and a considerable asset as it gave Project Beyond just enough spite for his makers to be amazing. This streak shows most apparently in his refusal to answer to "Project Beyond" in any situation outside of training or a mission, thinking his codename a lame one that was simply not worth giving the time of day. Oftentimes Terry has been known to steal his armor and break out of the lower levels to see the rest of the world, performing vigilantism in cities such as Washington D.C. and Gotham to practice his skills as a hero.
Terry is friendly enough, but not often going out of his way to make a lot of friends, even among his fellow clones. Usually feeling more than a bit awkward around others, Terry often kept to himself only interacting with a few of the others which he dubbed as his "siblings" regardless of their actual relation to him genetically. To these specific people, though, the young man is fiercely protective, almost to a fault as observed in training.
At the end of the day, all he wants is freedom, and the young man might just do anything to obtain it.
What's Under Your Mask?
I suppose now you bring me to justice. Let your new friends interrogate me. I wonder if your position's secure enough to survive them learning everything I know.
SkillsPeak Human Agility, Endurance| Due to his high-intensity training, Terry has reached the physical peak in the areas of both agility and endurance. Able to continue for extremely lengthy stretches of time, exerting himself heavily, Beyond is noted for typically being able to handle the most training at a time. Meanwhile, Terry's feats of grace and agility number among some of the greatest in the world, though his relatively untrained nature makes it so there are still a number of acrobats with which he can't compete.
Gear
High-End Conditioning| The remaining components of Beyond's physicality, including things such as his strength, reflexes, flexibility, and so on, are also trained to a very high end of the spectrum for human performance.
Martial Artist| Terry has been trained to emulate the level of combat skill the Batman has, and as a result is trained in many fighting styles. When fighting with a less confrontational strategy, Beyond uses many evasive tactics, using a more acrobatic style during battle, outmaneuvering his foes so that he can either tire them out, or wait for some type of opening that is able to be exploited. In a more direct situation, Terry goes with very conservative movements, avoiding all unnecessary prettiness so that he can land as many hits as possible, with a very classical boxing stance, while still holding his legs in such a way that quick kicks are possible.
Intellect| His deductive reasoning skills are still developing, but he is still quite capable of deducing most simple cases without much assistance from his A.I., and some medium level with assistance. Additionally, Terry is trained/programmed with sufficient intellect to be considered a college freshman in multiple areas of study.
Stealth| Still in the most rudimentary stages of his stealth training, Terry is really only capable of remaining perfectly silence so that his light-displacement unit can do the rest.
Tinkering| While not fully proficient enough to do a full-repair of his high-tech armor, Beyond is able to perform maintenance and fix broken pieces of his equipment.
Multilingual| Beyond is able to speak English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and Atlantean.Batsuit| Beyond's version of the Batsuit more strongly resembles armor than an actual batsuit. Designed with all manner of technological advances, it serves as a prototype, or sorts, to the O.M.E.G.A.A. series Battle Armors. Thus, it has a small variety of advances which give a more extreme level of enhancements than the suits with more numerous of these. The boons given by this armor include the following: A Strength Enhancement Apparatus to A Factor of 5, Speed and Flexibility Enhancement Apparatus, Bulletproof, Light Displacement Unit, Reflex Enhancer, Reactive Movement System, Comm-Link, First-Person Surveillance System, Retractable Claws In Each Gloved Finger, Two Forearm-Mounted Blades, Retractable Wings, Jet Boots, Minor Electric Insulation, Environmental Seal, multiple visual filters, and a HUD.
Batarangs| Stored within his suit, Terry has a considerable supply of collapsible Batarangs, which appear initially as an almost droplet shape, but unfold to reveal two "bladed" wings which allow the weapons to act as shuriken. These can be used either as a thrown or melee weapon. He has several variation of these, including impact batarangs, which are dulled and built to inflict considerable force upon hitting the target, explosive batarangs, which detonate either on contact or after a pre-programmed timer has run out, and tazer batarangs which loose a considerable discharge after the initial trajectory is stopped.
Utility Belt| Containing a wide variety of "necessary tools" this can more or less be described as the same as Batman's own utility belt.
Personal Terminal| Housed within the plates of each forearms is a touchscreen which can interface with the helmet's CPU, as well as anything which can be connected via direct connection.
Internal CPU Unit| In the helmet, and partially accessed through a wireless access, is an internal computer which feeds the suit requested information, which can be brought up onto the HUD or either terminal.
Personalized A.I.| An Artificial Intelligence which is stored over a wireless cloud, it gives Terry instant and easy access to all manner of information that is stored in either an external computer he accesses, or his own. The computer often also calculates many things for Terry, making it easier for him to make shots, figure out trajectories, and even come up with strategic responses to a host of scenarios. Sometimes it can act in conjunction with his enhanced reflexes to help fight fast, or skilled, opponents.
Your Story
Having broken the Light in half, and stopping the alien invasion, the Team will now operate out of the WatchTower, side-by-side with the Justice League. Not because Mount Justice was destroyed, but because you earned it.
History
Following a number of incidents involving unsuccessful clones, failed plots, and many miscellaneous break-ins, Luthor decided that it was high-time to redistribute the structure of his projects. Thus, he hired Amanda Waller, former warden of Belle Reve penitentiary prior to its gigantic breakout, to oversee his new wave of genomorphic clones. With the new leadership in his organization, Luthor was able to initiate his breakthrough cloning project. Instead of simply cloning one hero and making a genomorph "superior" to him, the man would make his own personal Justice League, grown and trained at a slower rate than the Superboy and Match, so as to assure that they could defeat The League and act as his own personal police force.
Collecting the DNA from a number of League members, he immediately cloned a great collection of them, and began working on his own personal side-experiments. Beyond was one of these. Creating a genomorph clone by combining the DNA of one of his own employees who had been brought on to train his clones, Catwoman, and the might Batman himself, Luthor intended for this clone to serve as the leader of his own "CADMUS League".
This project would be dubbed "Project Beyond", and Amanda Waller herself would act as his personal handler, as well as the handler for his team. During his life, Beyond was made to age at a four times accelerated rate until a certain age is reached. Rather than relying on solely programming, as clones of past had been in order to develop their skills and knowledge, Beyond was regularly put through rigorous training and exercises like his fellow clones, trained by the best that Luthor's money could afford, and even some tutoring from his elder clone counterparts.
At the physiological age of 12, Beyond was assigned to a team of other clones, who had been marked to have exceptional potential like himself, to form the eventual "League". After a few months of prompting and poking, the others eventually got Beyond to lower his defenses, and were allowed by the boy to bond with him. During the remaining year, Project Beyond developed a much more distinct personality than before, and even was given the name "Terry". When Terry began stealing out of the lower levels, Beyond began getting into all manner of vigilantism and mischief, taking on the last name "McGinnis" to match that of a professor who had been kind to the clone in his early days before being excommunicated for conspiring to release several clones from their captivity.
Each time, naturally, Terry was returned to his prison, only to attempt to escape once more. Eventually, Waller treated it as a training exercise of sorts, insisting that he'd be permitted greater amounts of time without being pursued by those of CADMUS. Beyond has been looked into several times by a number of heroes, but few have managed more than a stolen glance at the hero.
