Manhattan, a part of New York that was often prone to being attacked by criminals of both the superpowered and not so powered variety. And on these days, there was usually a hero, or in today's casy a group of them, working to stem the flow of destruction and crime.
On this day, it was a small deployment of Young Avengers, a group that was only included four members. The low number was due to the low alarm-level of the crime being commited. What was the crime you say? The Frightful Four were staging another one of their semi-regular "call-outs" to the team that seemed to never really be too much of a challenge. It was largely accepted that it only ever took one member of the team to down all four of the villains, accounting that the member in question had either a sufficiently strong power or the experience required if the prior was lacking to do so, but Spiderman insisted on bringing a few others along to treat this as an exercise in teamwork and restraint.
The web-swinger had grown concerned at how some of his teammates were handling relatively small situations, and figured that handling a small situation with a small amount of overkill would be the perfect way to get this all smoothed out. Little did they know that this wouldn't look good to certain outsiders looking in on that particular day, as fate would have it.
Young Justice, a team that had originated from another dimension, or maybe the one they were in, no one was really sure had appeared. The team had come in for a recon mission to find some information on the superhuman inhabitants of the area and came across the scene shocked. Four apparently very strong villains, as they saw it, were essentially beating on a team that was considerably weaker for no apparent reason. No civilians had been harmed yet, but that might not be the case for much longer, they would have to step in.
At Superboy's command, Young Justice deployed and took their opponents by surprise. The battle of the century had begun.
--------------------------------
The following are the "battle assignments" that will be started by the individuals whos point of view it is during the suggested starter.
Superboy Vs. Hawkeye : Superboy knew that in order to cripple this team quickly, he would need to beat the weakest link among them and knock their numbers down considerably. One was an archer that was apparently a human, thus the easiest target, and a useful one at that. Beat a ranged attacker and the team dynamic would be thrown off considerably. Conner threw himself at the purple-garbed young woman with great ferocity and velocity.
Quake Vs. Creeper: Quake wasn't really good at this whole "hero" thing yet, but she had been out to prove herself. Now there was this weird yellow-monkey-guy who had thrown himself all over the young woman. The only thing she knew to do was attack back, creating a sonic wave in the weirdo's direction.
Wiccan Vs. Cyclone and Spoiler: Billy was startled by the attackers, but he had seen them coming too from his higher position, immediately he fired a bolt of lightning at another that was in air when she torpedoed herself in his direction. His energy-attack had missed the target, but successfully veered the woman off-course. Kaplan didn't have long to enjoy his victory, though, as he felt a boot to the back of his head from a hooded hero that had used a tether to reach him. Down for a second, but not out, Wiccan was ready to take on his two foes.
Spiderman Vs. Batgirl and Argent: His spider-sense had alerted the wall-crawler to the attack, but had not given him quite enough time to alert everyone. The best he could hope to do was draw a couple of them to a different roof-top and face the straight-up there. Leaping into a back-flip, Peter landed on the head of a girl wearing a cowl with red-hair, using a tether like another member of her team that wore a hood and called, "hey gorgeous, swingin' my way?" Before jumping off of her and swinging, he then aimed a glob of webbing into the face of a silver-skinned girl who was surrounded by lightning and shouted, "c'mon, I bet you couldn't catch me with my eyes webbed shut!" Before swinging off towards Rockefeller.
(Note that this battle starts on 8th Ave., near the Daily Bugle Screen, but it is recommended that it should be spread out so that people aren't stepping on eachother's toes too much, an example is Spiderman trying to pull the fight to Rockefeller like he is.)
(Also note that these are suggested starters for the individuals who's perspective it is in the starter, so starters are Superboy, Qauke, Wiccan, and Spiderman)
(ONE MOOOOOORE THING, this is assumed to be placed before the characters in question have met eachother in or out of heroic persona, and we would like your thread to reflect that)
