The sight had been appalling to the young hero. More than worthy of his contempt in this situation, Conner ordered his teammates to engage the team of villains who had seemingly stomped these other four superhumans with the heels of their boots. While Superboy himself was considerably more powerful than most others on the face of the earth, he, still didn't abuse his powers by beating down on the weaker for no apparent reason. So in that sense, the young man, felt that he was totally justified in ordering the assault on the apposing side. "Cyclone, Spoiler, take out the one up high, the rest of you try to figure out the best match-up for yourselves and floor them as fast as possible! We don't want any civilian casualties!"
A glaring threat that the Kryptonian could see was the team's archer, in the past they had proven themselves to be quite destructive if not handled quickly. Both Red Arrow and Artemis had been examples of this rule when all had seemed lost, yet, each had managed to turn the tables completely with a single shot. While a true threat to the entire team, archers were usually humans that had trained heavily to obtain the great skill as a method of compensation for a perceived drawback placed upon them. To Superboy, being human wasn't in itself a weakness, but being frail was.
Leaping forward, aiming his arms forward and adjusting his angle slightly, to create a torpedo effect with his body. Diving like a bullet, Superboy landed on the side of the rooftop opposite to Hawkeye and stood both tall and imposing. His eyes glowing red as it shifted into the infrared spectrum, they appeared to glow with a burning red anger, doing this as a method of intimidation. Unnerving an opponent often had a great affect on less experienced foes. It was certainly effective when it worked, and on foes that he wasn't familiar with it never hurt to try.
Clenching his fists, Conner took a boxing stance briefly before becoming a blur of motion. Sprinting directly towards the violet archer, Superboy pulled his fist back and aimed a precise strike for the other teen's gut area. Much of the force would be pulled away from the shot so as not to cause excessive injury, but if it hit, the damage dealt would certainly hurt. If he didn't control the force of the blow, Superboy could easily kill anyone he punched.

Well this had been a red letter day for Kate Bishop. First off, the guy at the diner burned her pancakes and still charged her. Then, some much anticipated training got cancelled because Clint and Nat had to go off and help fight Electro. Then, the guy at the diner under-cooked her cheeseburger and still charged her for it. Then, she decided to train on her own, but was called out to fight a bunch of low-level criminals with the team. And now... a bunch of super-powered baddies from the other world decided to show up and start trouble. At least she assumed they were baddies given this caveman now in front of her was posed and planning to go BAM BAM on her. Kate sighed and popped a piece of gum in her mouth.
"Let me guess," she said. "You show up with your special little team of super-tough trouble-makers, and the first one you seek out to beat up is the girl with no powers? Am I right so far? Well, that's just dandy, and yeah if I get into a fist fight with you, you will probably have some kind of super strength from some toxic accident or because you come from Olympus or something, and will therefore beat me into oblivion? How am I doing so far?" Kate then shrugged removed an explosive arrow from her quiver, and aimed it at the ground by the newcomer. Yeah, he was a villain, but she still had the no-kill vow. The arrow would give him a good shock though, given he wasn't invincible. "Well, as I've been taught... when in doubt... blow stuff up!" She then fired the arrow, which as always went right for its target.

After the explosion at his feet, Conner walked from the resulting smoke with not much more than a damaged shirt. The shield on his chest still intact, the torn off portion really only encompassed his abdomen, but no other damage was really apparent. "Says the thugs who were just beating up on a team of innocents weaker than them." Immediately he moved in, using a trick Black Canary had shown him to move in quickly while still manipulating his momentum. Moving directly within her reach, Conner aimed a fist to her gut. His strike was held back a considerable amount in terms of force, though. The punch itself, if it landed, would be comparable to that of a professional boxer's.
The reason the clone was holding back so heavily, though, was that he still didn't want to hurt the criminal. That, and his recent Kansas rearing taught him to try as hard as possible to not hurt ladies excessively. Injuring her was going to be beyond helping, but he could at least tone it down as heavily as he could.
"And by the way," he said as he followed up the first gut-punch with a swinging arm to her head, "you're way off, clone of an alien and a human." He couldn't resist but point out his origins to the woman, her guessing made that part at least a little bit fun for him.

Kate grumbled when Conner just walked through her attack like it was nothing. But before she could say anything out loud, she was nailed by the punch. She was really glad she worked out because a normal person would have lost their lunch. Kate did have to catch her breath... and quickly. She managed to so in time to dodge his next punch but doing a leg split. She then swung her leg quickly to trip him up. After that, she rose and rubbed her stomach.
"Thugs... beating up the weak innocents?" she said, still huffing a little. "Where have you been, you colossal meathead? Those guys down there were criminals involved in an operation... and we...thugs were the heroes trying to stop until you and your gang of weirdos showed up. And you out-number us, so don't pop off at me about bullying, you big goober!" Kate then moved back and posed for another attack.
"And I don't give a rat's fanny if you are an alien or a clone or the frakkin' Frankenstein Monster! I don't care if you're from my world or some other stinkin' world either." she said. "You're just some psycho to me. We had everything under control until your gang showed up. Who's paying you to off, huh? Dr. Doom, Dr. Octopus, The Kingpin? Or maybe you're newbies from the Emissaries of Evil." Kate then sighed. "Why am I even talking to you?" She then turned turned and ran, leaping to a ladder of the next building and climbing up. She then drew another explosive arrow. If she got the shot right, when the guy leaped after her, it was blind him enough to lose his balance. She figured he could handle the fall.

When her leg swung at his feet, Conner was still more heavily focused on protecting his upper-body. So it didn't take much to send the kryptonian tumbling onto his backside. His great weight caused a small shock-wave through the stone structure to induce some minor shaking. This was more thanks to the fact that he had more molecular dense than pretty much all things on planet earth, except for what kryptonite was in the equation, and so things that wouldn't happen with most people were actually quite frequent to him.
Upon being knocked on his back, Conner's vision blurred with small red dots across it, indicating to the kryptonian that he was beginning to grow angry. The situation was very similar to an occasion in which he had been made to look like an idiot by Black Canary, or at least that's how Kent's adrenaline-pumping brain was telling him in how it went. While the young woman backed up, Superboy pulled his legs and knees towards his chest, and heaved forward and upwards into a standing position.
In response to her running away, Kent took off full-speed after her. Already mid-air between the two structures when she sent the shot towards his face. It hid dead-on between his eyes, and caused a small burn on the skin there, that through off his balance and sent him reeling into the wall. The brick broke under the force of his body, and he continued to roll into the building itself. Pulling himself up, Conner looked up and made his strongest leap he could muster. Busting through the different floors, Kent rose up, and soon broke through the roof and landed on top of the building behind Kate.
"You won't beat me that easily." He said with venom in his voice moments before taking off towards her again, fist already behind him to strike, telegraphing the attack hugely.

Kate almost felt bad for what she did to the dude, even if he was near invulnerable. That was a nasty fall, and she had never caused anyone to take something like that. That was mainly because with just about anyone else she had fought, they wouldn't have survived it. She looked about to check on him when he came busting back up through the buildings. She heard her pop up behind her and turned when he spoke to her.
"You won't beat me that easily?" she asked. "After all that, you can't come up with something more bad-ass to sa......oh crap!" She said this because here he came running at her like The Rhino on speed. She knew if she stood there like a derp face, he'd probably put her in the hospital... or worse. At the very last second, she leaped out of the way, hoping his speed would work against him and he would crash into something, staying there long enough for Kate to figure something new out.
When she moved she hit the ground and looked down to see the others fighting about the area. It looked like the crooks the Young Avengers were beating up beforehand had made an escape. At least she couldn't see them. Well, that was just dandy. What a fun night this would be. The caveboy up there with her possibly kicks her ass and the low-level crooks get away. Clint was going to have a field day with her about this one, and probably Natasha and Fury too.

Conner's attack was sloppy and telegraphed, therefore easily dodged even if he was going fast. So as the girl ducked out of the way, Superboy, tripped over a small metal vent that had been directly behind her. This resulted in him crashing headfirst into the A/C unit of the entire building. The resulting electric shock was violent and painful, but much like the other things he's had to go through today, wouldn't leave that much lasting damage on the kryptonian. Stunned by the blast, it took a bit for Superboy to pull himself back together and start listening for the girl once again.
He heard the noise of her boots hitting pavement, and the now rage-driven kryptonian was ready to finish this battle. Stomping forward, The Boy of Steel took another leap towards Hawkeye like a human missile, his boot poised to strike the young woman full-force. But this attack was interrupted by a sharp blow to the ribs that sent him to the side and rolling in the street to be hit by several cars. These vehicles actually inflicted pain on the young clone, though, and knocked him around before traffic screeched to a halt. Pulling himself up, Conner looked a bit worse for the wear this time as he saw a disturbing sight. Deathstroke, but not just Deathstroke, Deathstroke with glowing green gauntlets and boots.
------------------
"Hello Superboy, The Light says greetings," the mercenary said, drawing one of his katana in one hand, and the magnum from the other, "YOU," Wilson said pointing his blade towards Superboy, "have a date with a new associate of mine named Doctor Octopus for experimentation, and YOU," then looking towards Kate, "will have to die."

Well, what started as a one-on-one fight of Archer vs. Caveboy took a crazy turn. Again, Kate wondered if she had broke her own rule about killing when Superboy took the hit he did and got electrocuted. But nope, he took a licking and kept on ticking. He sort of reminded Kate of Steve Rogers, only Steve was an old-fashioned gentleman and not a complete asshat like this guy. Kate groaned as her new enemy came back and launched himself at her, going for the big kick. Kate could dodge it again, but how much longer would she have to deal with this oaf before she wore down?
That questions was answered when a new asshat showed up and attacked Superboy. The new guy with the ugly mask had some sort of glowing green stuff in his gloves and boots, and whatever it was, it did a number of her first opponent. The guy sounded mean too, making Kate wonder if the guy she was fighting was actually a villain. She could tell the new guy was, especially when he mentioned giving Superboy over to Dr. Octopus. That was never a good thing.
Then the dude said that Kate had to die. A death threat? That was not cool. If he did want to kill her, it wouldn't be easy. Like him, Kate had some blades on her as well, and had been trained by the best in how to use them. Drawing two sword and posing for battle, she looked dead at him.
"Bite me," she said.

Conner usually wasn't like this. Well, angry, he was pretty much always that, but he was actually considerably more likable than the primal monster he was behaving like. But the crushing kick to the ribs had a jarring affect on the hero's mind, and allowed him to think more clearly.
Pulling himself up, he felt one of his broken ribs healing up fairly quickly in the decent sunlight, and was able to breathe once again. Glaring at Deathstroke as his attention was turned to Kate, he charged forward, this time much more balanced and less like a rhino. Grabbing onto the merc from behind, he pulled the man's sword arm behind the rest of his body and twisted. Met with a grunt of pain the weapon clanged as it hit the ground and told Conner that it was indeed the right move.
But he was feeling weakened again as the kryptonite-plated gloves radiated and took away his solar charge.
-----------
The initial pain from getting his arm wrenched like that was great, but Deathstroke knew that the Stuporboy wouldn't be able to maintain the position for long as his gauntlets did their work. Soon enough, the grip of the hero slackened, and Wilson was able to rip himself from the boy's grapple and fire a bullet into the young man's shoulder. Naturally, the bullet was tipped with kryptonite so that proximity wouldn't be an issue in this scenario. But while fighting off the foe he knew, Wilson had overlooked the for that was new.

Kate had guts. She knew this new baddie could potentially mop the floor with her, but she was still ready for a one-on-one sword fight. She remained posed until Superboy took action and worked over the guy. Well... that was until the guy worked him over again. Kate groaned again. Despite their earlier scuffle, she was hoping the caveboy would end up fighting alongside her, at least long enough to take down the new guy. But he did do something to help in distracting Deathstroke. Kate worked out her next move, deciding what to target first...then second. She decided to go for a high/low maneuver.
Running, she leaped and went for a kick to the head. Once her feet hit the ground, she went for a low-kick. If she could get him off his feet long enough, perhaps she could pin him down with a series of rapidly-fired, heavy-duty arrows. it was worth a shot... a number of shots actually.
As the two fought, Doc Ock appeared, his extra arms hidden in a trench coat. He looked down and smirked at the fallen Superboy. Deathstroke had done his job well. A quartet of Octo showed up behind Ock. The mad doctor looked up at them.
"Grab him and take him back to the lab," he said to his robots. "And do be careful with my little experiment. I want him in top condition when I study him." Well, by top condition, Ock meant healthy, but with a power inhibitor on the boy's neck for cautionary purposes.

Usually, Deathstroke would have immediately went for his blade. The weapon was certainly a signature of the mercenary's, if not for the young lady having jumped at the opportunity for an attack.
If not for his enhanced reflexes, Wilson probably wouldn't have seen the attack coming and have been able to react in time. At the kick for his head, Slade simply leaned his head backwards, leading the rest of his body, into fully stepping back and evading the young woman projectile. And the second shot, while surely clever, and well executed, was hardly innovative on her part. "Please young one," the soldier said in a mocking tone to her, "I've been killing warriors of a far greater caliber than you for years, you'll have to become much more creative if you're going to beat me."
Immediately after saying this, and waiting for the girl to stand back up, Deathstroke hopped up, and feinted a kick for her thigh. But he instead used this kick to propel himself into a full rotation, and followed it with a heel-strike aimed for her abdomen. While the blow itself wouldn't do a lot of damage if it hit, it would serve the purpose of distracting her long enough for him to draw a second weapon to replace the sword he'd dropped earlier.
If the kick failed, though, Wilson would simply take on a defensive position and attempt to lengthen the battle further with a couple of extra jabs to the face/shoulder area.

Holy crap, this guy was good. Still, Kate knew what she was getting into when she ran at this guy. He kind of reminded her of Deadpool, and despite being as crazy as hell, Wade was good. The high kick failed, and it looked like the low kick wasn't going to get much success either. In fact he dodged it and looked as if he was going to kick her in the thigh, so she dodged that. But it was a ruse and she got kicked in the abdomen. Blah! It hurt a bit, but it didn't hurt all that much. She had a feeling the real pain was coming.
Also, the jerk had to run his mouth. Blah! Blah! Blah! I fought and killed guys that could eat kids like you for dinner. Blah! Blah! Blah! She looked up at the guy, swords raised and ready for that part of the fight.
"Dude, I don't care," she said. "Just shut up and fight. Geez." The kick turned out to be a distraction so he could draw his swords. Kate knew if she wasn't more careful and took her training by Mockingbird into account, she would be Kate Bishop Cold Cuts. She focused now, switching to the defensive position. This was a wise move as he went for a flurry of punches, obviously to soften her up and exhaust her. She dodged them and waited for an opening to attack again. When she saw that his abdomen was exposed, she would do a trio of rapid kicks to it, and then one sharp, swift kick to the face.

Turning the weapons over in his hands, quickly getting a feel for the weight of the two blades, Deathstroke smirked devilishly from underneath the helmet that he wore. Not a completely unfamiliar feeling to the man, it was just that with the diverse arsenal of swords that he made use of it usually took him a second to regain the balance and feel of such weapons.
Seeing her defensive position, Slade got impatient with a want to finish the battle too quickly. Hence, he was prompted to move in closer in an attempt to score a final hit, putting him at an opening for the girl to attempt a counter attack. But she countered with her own kicks, more or less bouncing from his armor, then following with a hard hit to his helmet.
Sending the piece of protective gear flying from his face, it revealed the old and beaten visage of Slade Wilson, and a scowling expression that conveyed no small amount of annoyance at the young woman. "Now you see, that's where you fucked up," Wilson said frankly to the little archer, "because now you've only made me mad." Clenching his fist, the man's one eye caught sight of his business associate taking leave with the package, and Deathstroke's grip immediately relaxed. His snarl that had briefly spread across the old face quickly closed into a small smirk as the man taunted, "well, it looks like you "heroes" can't even defend eachother most times, I believe now would be the time that I shall take my leave of this little scuffle of ours."
Immediately spinning on his heel and launching off into the opposite direction, the agile mercenary ran into an alley. Quickly he jumped towards one of the building-sides and planted his boot there, kicking off firmly, he then repeated the action several times until he reached a rooftop.
There, a helicopter was awaiting the man, who took a firm grip upon the rope that had been lowered and commenced his climb as the chopper took off.

Well, Kate succeeded and making the guy take off his mask... and boy was he ugly... damn ugly. Kate said nothing to him, but just waited while he ran his mouth, and then waited for him to attack again. And waited... and waited. And the guy's ride showed up and he took his leave. And so that the end of it for now. Though he did tell Kate that she made him mad, and that usually meant there would be a battle number two. For now, she stuck a piece of chewing gum in her mouth and stepped over to see what else was going on with the others. Hopefully by then they had wised up and realized everyone... well almost everyone was on the same size.
Kate was irked though. She thought the boy she was fighting was a bad guy, and granted he thought she was too, but because of all that, she let him get kidnapped by none other than Dr. Octopus. She realized that had it been a scenario where the two were fighting together, she would have taken a liking to him. She liked his attitude a great deal. And he kicked some serious arse... almost her arse, but still. Kate sighed.
"Alright, clone boy," she said to herself. "Congratulations. You've got someone stupid enough to walk right into Doc Ock's lair and rescue you." Well, not completely stupid. She would get some help. That was one of the good things about being in the Young Avengers. That whole team dealy.
(End)
