(Open to all. A fun thread featuring the site characters just hanging out at the beach. I will be playing a number of my characters from one account.)
Clad in a red bikini with gold lightning bolts, Lyra rode the waves on her surfboard. She howled as she pulled off a few new tricks. She noticed she had an audience, and boy did she cater to them. The surfing competition was coming up after all, and from what she heard, she had some pretty big competition.
Dressed in a purple one-piece swimsuit and wearing her purple shades, Kate Bishop sat on her chair under the shade of an umbrella and read her archery magazine. Nearby her Siberian Husky, Flynn, was playing with some kids. Flynn was a lot friendlier than Kate was, but she loved her dog like crazy, and it was nice to see him out of the hang out and having fun at some place besides Central Park. Eventually she called him over so he could cool off with a bowl of water. She had also given him a trim before heading to the beach to ensure he didn't get too hot.
Stephanie Brown's "dad", Bruce Wayne, allowed her to borrow one of his speed boats. Riding it away from the swimmers, she was having an absolute blast. Like Kate, she wore a purple one-piece, not being crazy about showing a midsection that had been bruised in a recent battle with Clayface. She hoped one of those aboard with her would take the wheel and let her do some water-skiing.
Clad in blue shorts, Bobby had just finished a volleyball game with some of the other student from Xavier's Institute. Being one who was about the cold, the sun was getting to him and he purchased a bottle of water from a drink stand. It wasn't that cold, but Bobby was fix that, chilling it to perfection. He took a big gulp and headed back to his friends.

Terry wasn't sure how he got looped into this nonsense, but he always did. He wore black shorts with a red waistband being an extreme juxtaposition to his extremely pale complexion. Conveniently, a bunch of the other heroes were going to the beach today too, not so conveniently, the mysterious Mr. Wayne had allowed the blond to borrow the speedboat. Now Terry hung over the side of the boat, feeling the oncoming symptoms of motion sickness. For someone who regularly flew and leaped between buildings, the clone, was painfully ill-equipped for boats.
Cassandra was also on the boat, but not as sick as the pale boy was. He looked a lot like dad, which was still weird to the girl, but it had been had explained to her that sometimes people just looked a lot like through a combination of similar ancestry and mere coincidence. Regardless, Cain still wasn't trusting of the young man. Eating ice cream, and leaning back, Cass wore a pair of black swimming trunks usually worn by men, along with a black bikini top. She would have rather gone with a more comfortable to her sports bra, but it was again explained that even though these were more revealing, it was more acceptable than wearing a bra in public recreationally. That just seemed weird to her, but Steph seemed better at this than she was anyway. Walking over to her friend who was driving the boat, she offered the blond an ice cream bar and asked, "hungry?"
Jimmy was lounging under some sand, not too far from the volleyball game. He had decided to take a nap, not worrying about sun damage considering his healing factor, and some of the younger Xavier's students had sneaked over and burried the feral from the neck down. Being a heavy sleeper, Hudson didn't notice until some sand had actually been kicked up from the game a few feet away and gotten into his nose. Sneezing himself into consciousness, Jimmy saw what had been done, and pulled himself free with a less-than pleased expression. Then after a moment or two of thought, the older student chuckled to himself as he worked cleaning off his orange and black trunks, it WAS actually pretty funny.
Superboy was taking a page out of his friend Kate's book and catch some extra sunlight. Of course, his skin couldn't burn in the same way human's did with this sun.... Or would you call it lightly toasted considering the goal was to become a slightly darker shade of your normal skin pigment? Whatever, all the stressed hero knew was that he was intent on relaxing today. Wearing a pair of shades with his normal jeans on, Conner leaned his head back against his forearms as a pair of pillows.
Peter was perched on top of some rocks, a bit to the side of the coast from where everyone else was, snapping some photos of his friend Lyra surfing. She had asked him to do so and frankly Peter didn't have much going on anyway. Wearing a pair of Spiderman-themed trunks that he had simply cut out from one of his old, more beaten up, costumes, the portion of suit that he needed for it was still in great condition. His skin was pale like Terry's, just not to nearly the same degree. Unexpected muscles showing in the sunlight, Parker snapped a few more photos before being satisfied with the pics he had.

Lyra was now posing for her fans, as well as for some photos from Peter, following her ride of the waves. She didn't want to come off as egotistical, but damn it was good to be her sometimes. She was about to go chat with Kate when she saw a rather handsome fellow sitting under an umbrella nearby. Lyra wasn't quite the flirt her cousin Jen was, but she was at the age where it was hard to ignore a handsome boy... and this was handsome! She stepped over and smiled at him.
"Hey there," said Lyra. "Just rocked some waves. Mind if I chill under your umbrella for a few minutes?"
When Stephanie turned to see Cass offering her an ice cream bar, she smiled, accepted it, and thanked her "sister". She was so happy Cass could spend the day with her, and Terry too. She then noticed that Terry looked like he was about to yarp.
"Hey Cass, take over the wheel a minute," she said. She sat by Terry and handed him a tablet. "Here ya go, buddy. This will make you feel better. Dad always makes us pack these."
While Kate continued to read, Flynn walked over and sniffed where Jimmy was buried. Thinking he was in danger, Flynn began digging Jimmy back up. He barked as if to say that help had arrived when he saw Jimmy's face.
Bobby stepped over and stood by Peter as he finished snapping pics. He noticed the beautiful green girl too. That was Bobby for you.
"How's it going, Peter?" he asked.

Conner peered up towards Lyra over his sunglasses. The tall, green, amazon of a young woman was an impressive sight to behold, and had it been even a few months earlier he would have considered the look quite attractive. But, due to some events that had transpired over the last year or so, he had been rather tapped out on green women and their habit of messing with your head..... Literally in some cases.
Sighing in his usual "grump" way, Conner replied to the inquiry, "yeah, fine, I won't stop you." Adjusting the spot he was laying on so that he had moved over. In order to accommodate the girl taking up some room considering he had taken up the majority of the shade on his own. "Conner...." The kryptonian answered to the question that he already knew was coming up. His general coldness wasn't anything intentional, it was quite literally just a side-effect from how he had lived his life and the fact that he'd spend the first chunk of his life in a tube.
As Cassandra took the wheel, Terry continued to hang limply over the side. It was a miserable feeling, motion sickness, something he wanted to end, but knew would have to put up with some more before it could. Much like walking on a bed of hot coals, once you get half-way, you have to go another half-way. "Thanks..." He said wearily as he accepted the tablet from Steph and swallowed it. Pulling himself off of the boat's side, he slid down the wall and plopped down onto the deck itself. "Having fun?" The pale clone asked as the green tinge on his face was still present but would slowly subside.
It wasn't long before rescue came for Jimmy, in the form of a mutt. Well, mutt probably wasn't a good word considering it was one that had often been used to describe him and he didn't really appreciate it. Smiling at the dog as it barked, Hudson pet the canine after he had been freed.
Nodding to Bobby in reply, Peter answered, "oh, you know, snapping some shots for a friend, waiting for a certain red-head to pop up." These days it seemed that Peter was usually waiting on a girl to show up, or the other way around, maybe the Spider-Bite had done something for his love life too.

Conner was cute looks-wise, but his attitude wasn't exactly admirable. Lyra didn't want to boast, but usually when she asked to sit with a guy, his face lit up like a Christmas Tree. But he did agree, so not it was Lyra's mission to cheer him up.
"I'm Lyra," she said. "Nice to meet you, Conner. Nice day at the beach, huh? Great waves." She then chuckled. "You don't seem to be a fan of the sun either. You sort of remind me of my friend Kate over there."
Bruce's tablets never failed. Steph remembered being on a patrol after eating a bad hotdog. She had to help take down Two-Face, and she didn't think she was going to make it. One tablet and she was good to go. She would take the wheel back from Cass eventually, but she decided to sit by Terry for a moment. She thought he was adorable in some ways and handsome in others. She had grown quite fond of him in a very short time.
"I'm having a blast!" she said. "Tell you what. We'll dock soon and get you off the boat. The three of us will take a nice walk on the beach."
Kate looked over and saw that Flynn had made a new friend. She recognized him vaguely, a student at Xavier's School. She didn't know his name though, and guessed he didn't know hers either.
"Hey," she said. "Just want you to know he's going to be following you around the beach all day now. Name's Kate and that's Flynn."
"I hear ya," smiled Bobby to Peter. "I wouldn't mind a few red-heads popping up around here myself." He chuckled a bit at this. "Speaking of, who's the pretty red-headed, green-skinned surfer girl that you were shooting?"

Rahne had gone with the other girls that had showed up, the only problem was that she was still in the locker rooms/ bathrooms. She was uncomfortable with her black two piece bikini. She looked really sexy and that was the problem. She didnt want to attract attention to herself. She could smell the others and more importantly she could smell Jimmy and that just made her evem more nervous about going out in such a reveling outfit. "Um Excuseme?" Rahne looked over, it was some girl with long black hair.
Daisy had been a little late, running in to the bathroom she got dressed in her silver bakini and looked around for her towl. Finding the bright blue towl she smiled and walked up to a red head who seemed to be having problems. "Um Exscuse me?" As rahne looked at Daisy she smiled. "Are you ok? You seem like your worrying." The girl nodded at daisy and both of them walked out together.
Barbara was laying on the beach in a place where no one could find her, ofcouse unless you were stefanie who knew where all her hiding spots at a beach was. she was in a purple bakini and her towl was black. Barbara was reading one of her favorit books, It was like she was off in her own little world. Putting the book down she let out a sigh and watched Stephanie. Barbara had got use to not having any fun, and this was something she was not use to.

Jericho was already wearing his trunks underneath his clothes, and he just had to take them off. He was wearing a purple, and yellow swimming trunks, and as soon as he started changing out of the clothes he had already gotten a lot of looks just by doing that, but most of those turned into interest once he picked up his guitar. Then some of the girl, most he had not seen before, walked over listening to him. Hell there even was a dude there listening to him, but then again Jericho had a certain type of charm. Mainly because he couldn't speak, and was an excellent listener.
Billy was being kind of stalker-ish. He was looking at hulking for there entire time they were there. He was wearing a black, and dark blue swim trunks. He was also watching the other Students from Xavier playing volleyball, but then there was a guy who really got his attention. He watched him from a distance, but then got closer as he started playing the guitar. He wasn't the only one approaching the blonde. There were a lot more, but they all looked lonely, and this guy had a certain kind of charm to him.
Jack was right in front on of the sea. He was wearing red swim trunks, and looking a the whole beach."What are we waiting for exactly?"
"One. I'm waiting for someone to come, and then we'll go fishing."
"I swear to god if it's that Daisy chick I will go ape on her."
"If you do midnight snack, 2nd breakfast, and supper will be cancelled." Creeper shut up know. Jack got bored, and started floating in open water.

Peering over his sunglasses at Lyra, Conner chuckled and commented, "well I don't really see it, but I hope that's something I can say thanks to." Laying his head back, he really didn't think too much of Lyra. She seemed nice enough, but her apparent intent on keeping him talking wasn't winning her that many points, overall she was still ahead of where more people would be in such a situation.
Terry pulled himself up and mentioned, "yeah, that's probably a good idea, walking sounds good right now." His shoulders and mid-back had already begun to go a little pink from exposure, though he didn't think of putting on something like sun-block to protect himself from the radiation. Of course, there was likely to not be a kind of sunblock in existence that would prevent his skin from burning anyway, so this would just have to be a natural step in his skin tanning process to help prevent burns later on.
Jimmy pet Flynn, then batted the side of his head playfully to prompt the dog into a wrestling match. He always loved playing with dogs and wolves, much better at wrestling that humans usually were, and they didn't pout if they lost either. "Jimmy." He replied to Kate's greeting, putting his hand on Flynn's side in an attempt to push him over and get the game going.
"Well, I'm waiting for a specific one actually," Pete explained to Bobby, "her name's Barbara and her team's here today too." Walking towards a less-populated part of the beach, Parker gestured an invitation to follow if he wanted, figuring that Babs would be trying to find a quiet corner of the world to be.
"Oh it looks fine Rahne!" Exclaimed Rachel as she rounded the corner in the locker room, wearing a green and red onekinni that showed off her Phoenix mark. "It's not like you're the only one dressed like that today, and you KNOW Jimmy will notice you even if you were wearing a nun habit." While the telepath wasn't too keen on the idea of her roommate liking that dog, she could live with it and being supportive of the other red-head.
Lorna had arrived in a black and green one-piece, and had managed to be moved in the wave of attention that Jericho was getting. Not really wanting to have been in the crowd, but one of the first to be there, Dane now tried to weave her way out of the group without using flight. "Umm... Excuse me, sorry, no my fault...." She mumbled the entire way to other girls as she passed, receiving looks that told her people thought she was crazy for walking AWAY from the cute rockstar.

Lyra had the feeling Conner didn't really want to talk, and decided it wasn't doing her any favors bugging him. Oh well, there were more cuties on the beach. She smiled and waved, then walked off. She saw Daisy and a few other girls and headed over.
"Heya Daisy, what's going on here?" she asked. She smiled at the other two girls. "Hey, name's Lyra." She then looked at the color of all of their hair, which matched her's to an extent. "We should all totally hang out."
Steph smiled at Terry when he agreed with the idea. She then stepped over and took over the controls again.
"Let's dock and see what Babs is up to," she said. She docked and waved at Jack as she passed by him on the way to see Babs. "Hey Jack, if you want to hang with us later, come on over. We're probably getting some food soon."
Flynn loved play-wrestling and was soon in a "match" with Jimmy. Kate smiled and soon couldn't help joining in. She loved wrestling too, and loved her dog. Jimmy seemed pretty cool too.
"Triple threat for the World Title!" she joked.
Bobby stood and chatted with Peter for a bit longer, then turned with his saw Lorna leaving the crowd gathered around some guitar player who was showing off.
"See ya later, Peter," he said. He then stepped over and blushed just a tad before approaching Lorna. He always blushed just a tad when he was around her. "Hey Lorna. Enjoying your day?"

Rahne smiled as Rachel came up. Her room mate was always around to help Rahne feel more comfterful around the other girls. As another red head walked up rahne smiled abit. "I'm Rahne. and i would like to hang out." Rahne wanted more freinds and this Lyra seemed very nice.
Daisy smiled at Lyra. "Well I'm actually looking for a good friend of mine, well both of them actually, I need to talk to conner about the game we are going to, then i would like to meet up with Jack and hang out." Daisy liked the fact that she made two friends on her own. Conner was her sports buddy and Jack was well he was her best friend. "So i would love to hang out with you girls but im going to go find the boys." With that said daisy huged lyra and headed over to where she could look for the boys.
Barbara watched Terry and Stephanie. then turned back to her book and began reading once more. her nice white skin started to get a golden glow to it. as the sun was starting to alow her to turn the color needed for a tan. The red head liked the quite side of the beach where no one really was. besides she wasnt the one to be openly friendly with other teens her age, unless she knew them. Once you gained the girls friendship she was always friendly and showing kindness. looking back up as Terry and Stephanie started to come over and talk to jack she yelled to them. "Terry! Stephanie! Jack! DONT FORGET TO KEEP HYDRATED!" Barbara cared for her friends and didnt want to see them pass out over the heat.
