Today was a rough one for Stephanie. First the morning shift at Burger Haven, and then heavy duty training at Mt. Justice. And since Stephanie had no actual superpowers, the training scenarios and obstacle courses tended to be a bit harder for her. But she did pass again this time. Not only that, she had broken her personal record. In and out of the course in five minutes, three seconds. She staggered into the rec room at the headquarters and plopped down on a chair. Her eyes were heavy and she wanted so badly to take a nap before she had to return to Gotham. At least it wasn't her turn to patrol that night. And she knew if it had been, Batman would have not been merciful to her. Everyone patrolled when they were scheduled to patrol unless the excuse was a dire emergency. Being worn out from work and training didn't fall under that.
Steph knew trying to take a nap now would be futile. There was a team meeting coming up, and it was mandatory not only for her to be there, but for her to to give her insight on the topics discussed as well. From every thing she had heard, the main topic was this merging of words and all these new people, especially this team of heroes around the ages of those in Young Justice. Steph sighed and rose, making her way to the fridge for a Diet Dr. Pepper. She plopped back down and took a sip.
"Anyone else here yet?" she muttered.

To some, like the woman striding toward the meeting room who on the surface appeared to be about 30 in appearance, dressed in white with gold trim, lightning bolt stretched across her chest on the top she wore, cup of coffee in one hand, elephant ear she had picked up in the other, the training sessions, or what passed for them were by and large a ticket for the last train to boresville. With all her power she was disappointed that there wasn't much of a challenge to it for her but it was what it was.
Mary Marvel had breezed through it all, passing with flying colors naturally and between the end of her session and the time the meeting was supposed to start, she had time to teleport back to the fairgrounds in Fawcett City and snag herself an elephant ear. Mary Marvel had more than powers going for her, she also had an alter ego, an eighteen year old alter ego that had only a few months ago turned the legal adult age of eighteen. Today was the last day of the county fair in her home city and her duties there were officially finished. Duties that had kept the younger version of Mary busy, seeing as how, to her great surprise, she had not only entered but won her fair queen contest. Mary Bromfield had been ecstatic and for the duration of time that passed between Mary Marvel's training to0day and now when she teleported back to Mt. Justice, Mary Bromfield had wrapped up thye last of her official duties there and had enjoyed every minute. This crown was one she would relish for years.
After returning to YJ's base of operations and entering the meting room, she smiled at Spoiler and said hello, reminded of how, while training for her was elementary, it had taken a taxing toll on Steph and others that didn't have the speed of Mercury or the stamina of Atlas.
"I'm here now. I haven't missed anything, have I?"

Jack had a pretty normal day. Wake up make breakfast for himself, Creeper, and his mother. Working out his mothers medication for today. Then let Creeper do his morning activates. Which include what the creeper calls; draining the hose, doing my duty, and watching spongebob. Creeper really did enjoy spongebob. When he switched back he went outside, and bought himself a newspaper then headed to the tele-porter. A nice walk, especially during the day when you won't get mugged, and the villains are plotting not robbing. He always found it weird that they just didn't do it during the day. It hardly happens around here.
He also had training, but not in Creeper form that came later in the day. Just because Creeper was the one doing the heroing Batman thought that Jack also needed to learn how to defend himself. Most of the time he had to train as Creeper, but twice every week he was put in the scenario as Creeper. Then the obstacles man that was difficult the first time he finished it in 24 minutes, and 19 seconds. He did improve by about 10 minutes, but he still found it difficult. Creeper found it fun, and incredibly easy. Jack was in the kitchen making himself a tuna sandwich, and a taking a sprite. He finished the sandwich with with ease, and started drinking some of his sprite. After finishing the sandwich he headed towards the meeting room.
He entered as he took a drink of his sprite, and sat down. "So... Anyone know where everyone else is?"

"Well, I'm right here." Said Conner as he answered Jack's inquiry, striding into the room with his usual aura of "grumpy" that didn't really do well to exhibit his true mood. Honestly, Kent had a very good day, like Mary, the training wasn't too difficult for Kon-El as his superpowers pretty much allowed him to tread on through the simulation without really worrying about injury.
The young man's hair was wet and stuck to his head as he had just gotten out of the shower, it wasn't that he sweated a whole lot, Superboy had just been covered in a lot of dirt/grime after playing "tank" for the team and taking the brunt of everything. But when there was no apparent limit to your invulnerability and solar healing, that was pretty much the logical place to be when the team was getting attacked. Especially, when most of your squad is made of glass by comparison. So taking his seat at the table now, Conner rubbed the towel he had vigorously through his short black hair and commented, "Dick said he'll be missing this one today, out in Bludhaven doing the whole cop thing and stuff."
Looking up towards the other three, Conner then said, "Well I suppose we can get started and people can join in as they find time in their "busy schedules" to actually join us." The statement was laced with a cold sarcasm, as he said it, though, a fair number of the other team members arrived and Kent stood up. "Okay, so we all know about the situation with all of these new heroes popping up, usually we'd explain it with some type of pocket dimension," Conner then began walking towards the debriefing board and activated it to cycle through obtained images of both new heroes and villains, "but that can't be the case as they claim to be from a world where cities like Star City, Central City, Metropolis, Gotham, and Bludhaven don't exist."
Pulling up an image of the American map that had been taken from an atlas from that world, then rendered an image of their own map, creating a juxtaposition that allowed the team to see what Superboy had been talking about. "So first thing I want to hear before we get into detail, any thoughts on the recent course of events?" This question was posed more to see if anyone had any theories concerning what had been happening recently.

Stephanie gave Mary and Jack a weak wave when they walked in. After the work shift and the training, her muscles were sore. She felt like Bane and Killer Croc had took turns beating her to a bloody pulp. The androids in the training course were about as bad as those two. When Mary and Jack asked what was going on, Steph shrugged.
"Dunno," she said. "Conner's running it. It has to be something important because we all know Conner's not one to ramble on." She took another sip of her soda, contemplating popping in a pain pill from her belt. But if she did that, she would fall a sleep during the meeting. Conner didn't exactly have the most exciting voice.
When Conner walked it, Step sat up and tried to look as alert as possible. She should have known what he wanted to discuss. It was something that had been on her mind, and probably on the minds of the rest of the Young Justice members, as well as members of the Justice League. When he asked for insight, she looked around and decided she would go first.
"Well, I haven't met any of them or have been to any of these cities yet," she said. "I've been so busy in Gotham with work and patrols. Dad keeps me on my toes. Plus I've been doing a few 'chores' for the JLA with Kara in Metropolis. I don't know. Maybe we should get permission from the League to go and check these people and places out, at least the heroes our age."

"Oh I don't know about that." Mary answered Steph after waving and saying hey to Jack Ryder when he walked in. Taking a bite of her elephant ear and washing it down with coffee, a small giggle left her lips when she said "I for one have heard Conner ramble on plenty of times. I think he rambles on in his sleep and he does it just to hear himself do it." She teased. Sometimes at night when we have stayed here in our quarters I am pretty positive I've heard him. A person's voice can actually penetrate the walls around here, did you know that? Don't tell him I said that though." She was in a great mood after coming off the high of being the county fair queen. All her personal insecurities, doubts and fears felt miles away as she waited for the meeting to begin.
Mary could have guessed before she arrived, and guessed correctly it seemed when Conner wanted to talk about before he even began. Sadly, with all of the wisdom bestowed on her that channels through with her powers Mary had no clue as to what might have caused the dimensions or this alternate world to merge. It was still freaky to ponder so Mary tried not to spend to many minutes at a time dwelling upon it, just was ready to fight them off if any one from the new universe got out of line.
"I haven't met any of them personally yet either." Mary started to chime in before taking another sip of her coffee. "All I know is what is on the news about them and they seem to make the news alot. Funny how the media seems to know them better than we do. Funny or sad. Take your pick." She sighed before tearing off a bite sized chunk of her elephant ear and sticking it in her mouth.

He was kind of disappointed when Conner had to take over. Conner was always grumpy, and not at all inspiring. Plus he was quite rude. He also scared Jack. That happens if you meet a man who can snap your neck with the flick of a wrist. Conner does ramble on a lot, but he never heard him in his sleep. Maybe thats because Jack is such a deep sleeper, or it's that he has his headphones on. Keeps Creeper asleep during the night otherwise Jack would wake up every time Creeper talks to him, so listening to music while sleeping really did work. "Really? Never heard ramble." Jack just hungry, and Creeper just felt full of energy "Bored...Bored...Bored..." Is what Creeper continued to say in his head.
Jack didn't meet anybody of the new teams, but they were very bad at keeping the urban myth alive. They are also apparently cocky. Especially that spiderman that was on the news lately, and a talk show that really frowned upon people called mutants. He had been to New york a few times when he was younger with his father. It had a lot of crime, so it was nice to know that there finally was a team of heroes to take care of New york. Even the new team only went on patrol every once in a while when they weren't busy. And the last time any heard about that was with the Reach, and earlier then that Harm. There was also that time with Lobo.
"I also haven't seen, or met any of them." But then he remebered something. "But what I want to talk about is Lex Luthor. Know we all know he's part of the light, but a few months back he just seemingly disappeared, and thats when the rest of the light also disappeared Bialya then came under the control of Psy-mon. Black manta had seemingly disappeared as, as did Brain, Vandal, Deathstroke and Klarion. Also Talia Al Ghul took over the league of shadows, as intel told us. Which meant the most eight most important members of light disappeared with no trace. Of course Luthor made an excuse like going on holiday, but when we tried to keep eyes on him he wasn't there, and as M'gann pointed out Psy-mon was putting psychic images of Queen bee into peoples minds. So my question is where did they all go? My theory, the other reality."

Maxine was totally excited, this was her first meeting with the team and it was really awesome. She hadn't met many of the members yet, but she was totally eager to do it. After a long week patrolling alongside Red Tornado she felt like she was ready to assist to her first meeting. Red had been awesome, he was like a big brother and she was helping him to learn more about the humans and their customs.
Maxine arrived to the meeting room excited and levitating in her costume. She realized that she arrived late, but she had been busy with a small patrol with Red before the meeting and she lost notion of time. Once she arrived she put her witch hat again in her head and was able to find an empty seat. "Hi there sorry for being late I had been busy with Red Tornado and I tried to arrive the faster I could I totally hope that I didn't miss too much"started to say Maxine excusing herself for being late. She hoped that the others were comprehensive with her. She was practically the rookie of the Team, so maybe they wouldn't get mad at her.
She felt like a child in a candy store as she saw heroes like Superboy, Spoiler or Mary Marvel, she hoped she became friends with all of them. She gave them a shy smile and felt like she lost words. "So...what did I miss?"asked a little nervous after an awkward silence.

Conner wasn't the most socially ept of any person in the room, but he was a) the most senior member of anyone on the team, and b) the best at keeping a meeting going. So as Maxine entered the room and began disrupting the mission, it was likely not a surprise to anyone when Conner shot one of his patented "Superboy glares" at the girl that pretty much clearly said "sit down and shut up". Her blabbering upon entry, while probably considered polite as she was explaining the lateness, simply came across as rude to the kryptonian.
Turning back to Jack, Kent then replied to the long mini-rant about The Light with a, "that's a valid hypothesis Ryder, but we at least have Deathstroke's and Luthor's location at the moment, both have been active and I even had a run-in with the former in Los Angeles where he was trying to hunt down a spellcaster." Turning back to the board, Conner brought up a collection of images that began sorting themselves into collumns. "These are the known heroes and villains of the other world, though some aren't quite as clear as others."
In the left column were about 15 or so images of Avengers, Defenders, The Fantastic Four, and a few other lone heroes, "These on the left are confirmed heroes by both media and The League's surveillance." To the right it was considerably larger, and included many of Marvel's biggest baddies, and no small number of X-men and New Mutants, even a few heroes had made this column, "To the right are hostiles, also confirmed hostiles by both media and what we've seen." Then came the largest, in the center, "the rest of these have conflicting media and collected information on both sides and are to be considered dangerous and hostile until proven different." Spiderman and a few of the Young Avengers were in this portion.
"I suggest that we make an outing to New York within the week to investigate many of these individuals, who are indeed active within the city, I'm sure these "Avengers" will be more than accommodating to fellow heroes."

To Mary Marvel:
"The media acts like they know us more than we do, so I wouldn't go off what the newscasters and magazine writers have to say, Mary," she said. "Still, I'm anxious to met some of them. I mean, think of it. An alliance with those of them who are heroes? We could be an unstoppable team! We'd be mopping up baddies left and right!"
To Jack Ryder:
Jack made a good point. Sure, Creeper was more fun and adorable and Steph always wanted him around to give him a great big hug, but Jack was smart. And he was right. Where had The Light been as of late, especially Luthor.
"I wouldn't trust Lex is his tongue was certified," she said. "But it would be good if we could get a hold of Lex or one of the other guys, and maybe get some info out of them. If anyone could be behind this whole mix-up, it might be that team of weirdos."
To Maxine:
Steph smiled and waved at Maxine when she walked in. Maxine was a sweetie and she liked both hanging out and fighting alongside the hero. She was hoping Maxine would be there. She had found this cool arcade in Central City and wanted to show it to her friend.
"Heya Maxine!" she said. "We just started! Come pop a squat by me!"
To Conner:
Steph looked over the images Conner had to show. The heroes looked epic. The villains looked nasty. But she simply nodded at Conner's suggestion to go to New York as she had been rambling enough already.

"It was a joke, Jack. Just goofing." Mary grinned. Feeling on top of the world, feeling relaxed. Everything was going well for her it felt in her life and she couldn't be more at ease than she felt right now. That wasn't going to last. The price she has to pay for giving her teammates the benefit of the doubt. It wasn't more than 5 minutes into the meeting before the bashing of Lex Luthor began. A man that had done wrong and served his time for it in the past, Mary Marvel wouldn't deny that. But he also was trying to make a difference with Lexcorp and atone for his actions. There was no proof he had done anything wrong since his release from prison, and yet the Justice League was unmerciful with their unforgiveness. She kept reminding her teammates that people are still innocent until proven guilty in this country despite their pasts if they try to make amends. She's told them that countless times and she had always hoped they would see the error of their rash decisions. As much as she grew tired of it, she never gave up hope that Young Justice would rise above such narrowmindedness and be different that the Justice League...until now.
Jack Ryder bashed him, then her friend Stephanie. Mary Marvel just decided she had it up to here, stood and walked out the door. This isn't a meeting, it's a never ending mudslinging contest. I'll have my communicator with me. Contact me when there is actually something serious to contend with and the world needs saving." She frowned and left without a further word, her coffee and elephant ear or what was left of them in hand as she exited Mt. Justice and flew away just to clear her head.
